A book cover of The Gray Paladin

The Gray Paladin

The Gray Paladin is the first book in the Paladin Series by author Garet Davidson. It is an H.P. Lovecraft-inspired, faith-themed fantasy. The Paladin Order once protected mankind. Half a century ago Ildradath, the Adjuror of the Order, led a crusade into the Abyss to destroy a powerful artifact needed to awaken the Dread One. Now the lone survivor of that crusade wastes away in a tower in grief-stricken isolation and wounded faith.

When Lilium’s family caravan is attacked by a creature of the Abyss while fleeing to the Western Heights, she finds herself alone, cowering and praying to be rescued by the very man who believes his own prayers go unanswered. The Old Ones and their cultists are busy fulfilling the Dread One’s schemes, and they will not stop until the world is under his control and madness and ruin consume everything. The beneficent Divines, with unseen hands at work, know a quest to confront these horrors must be undertaken and that the fate of mankind will depend on a miracle.

Can those who have lost everything find reason to hope? Can faith be enough against the machinations of the dark powers, or will the tides of the Abyss forever spill into the world?

The Chronicles of the Faithful

The Chronicles of the Faithful is the second book in the Paladin Series by author Garet Davidson, and it is well under-way. The Paladins routinely recorded the deeds of individual paladins, and these chronicled stories serve as a living history of the Paladin Order.

This is a special compilation of short stories involving such paladins as Vesuvimorian, Pythaganor, Haptistrian, Athanasor, and Meliador. The reader will learn more of these paladins, as well as the world and its important historical events.

This will further prepare readers for what comes after The Gray Paladin. Subscribe to the newsletter for updates.
